Making a new from an existing one: the new class (subclass) gets the fields and methods of the old one (superclass) and can add or change some. Dart allows single inheritance: a class extends only one class.

Proposed: بۆماوە (heredity); Aras Nuri Ahmed's dictionary calls the class-inheritance relation «پەیوەندییە بۆماوەییەکە». The diamond problem of multiple inheritance is why Dart uses mixins.
