Definition
Looking for a value by checking the items of a list one by one from the start, until the value is found or no items are left. Python's in and index() search a list this way, so a longer list takes longer to search.
Example
'banana' in ['apple', 'orange', 'banana', 'kiwi'] compares 'banana' with 'apple', then 'orange', then 'banana', and stops with True; a missing value is compared with every element before the answer is False.

Built like the proposed binary-search «گەڕانی دووانی» (CALCW7) with the «هێڵی» that the calculus proposals use for 'linear'. The alternative «گەڕانی زنجیرەیی» translates 'sequential search'. Proposed by the py-adding-and-finding-list-items writer; needs review by an IT teacher.
