Shortening a number by simply dropping the digits after a chosen place, without : 8.736 truncated to two is 8.73. In Python, math.trunc() and int() cut off the fraction part.

Descriptive proposal by the stat-rounding writer: بڕینەوە (cutting off), the action in the owner's rounding note «هێڵێک بخە نێوان ژمارەی دووەم و سێیەم» (draw a line and cut). Kept apart from the registry's cut (بڕین, the clipboard Cut command). Needs linguistic review.
