The event that starts a or an . A transition starts On Mouse Click or automatically After a set time (Advance Slide). An animation starts On Click, With Previous or After Previous (the Start box). PowerPoint's Trigger button adds two special starts: a click on another object (On Click of) or a bookmark in a video or audio clip (On Bookmark).

Aras Nuri Ahmed (S3, p. 29) translates database trigger as پیتکەی بنکەدراوە (پیتکە = the trigger of a gun); the same word fits the animation sense. Not a database trigger. Proposed.
