A group of 4 bits, half of a byte. One nibble is exactly one hexadecimal digit.

The byte 1011 0110 has two nibbles, 1011 = B and 0110 = 6, so it is B6 in hexadecimal.

No Kurdish source names it. The loan «نیبڵ» follows the owner's habit of keeping such words (e.g. Input); «نیوەبایت» (half-byte) is a descriptive alternative.
