An operation on arrays that pairs up elements in the same position and works on each pair separately. In MATLAB the operators .*, ./, .\ and .^ (and +, -) are element-wise; the arrays must have the same or compatible sizes.

کارێک لەسەر ڕیزەکەکان کە توخمەکانی هەمان شوێن جووت دەکات و لەسەر هەر جووتێک بە جیا کار دەکات. لە MATLABـدا کارپێکەرەکانی .*، ./، .\ و .^ (هەروەها + و -) توخم بە توخمن؛ ڕیزەکەکان دەبێت هەمان قەبارە یان قەبارەی گونجاویان هەبێت.

Exampleنموونە

[2 3] .* [4 5] gives [8 15], while [2 3] * [4 5] is an error (inner sizes 2 and 1).

Proposed by MLW2 (2026-10-24) for matlab-array-math. «کار» for 'operation' follows MATW2's elementary-row-operation («کاری سەرەتایی ڕیز»); «کردار» is kept for programming functions only (owner's rule). Needs linguistic review.
