The relational-algebra operation π that keeps only the chosen columns of a table and removes duplicate rows from the result. In SQL it is the list of columns after SELECT.

No Kurdish source names it. دەرهێنانی ستوون (taking out columns) says what the operation does and keeps it apart from selection (هەڵبژاردن); پڕۆجێکشن is the loan teachers use. Real SQL keeps duplicates unless you write SELECT DISTINCT.
