Cutting away the outer parts of a picture that you do not need, so only the useful part stays. In PowerPoint the cut parts are only hidden until you compress the picture.

Note on the Kurdish termتێبینی دەربارەی زاراوە کوردییەکە
Barzinji's computer dictionary (S4, p. 72/61) only transliterates Crop (کروپ). The Technical English lesson te-multimedia already glosses crop as «بڕینی لێوارەکانی وێنە», so the proposal follows CêIT's own wording; بڕین alone stays for Cut.
