The turning point of a graph such as the V of $y=|x|$ or a parabola: its lowest point, or its highest point when the graph opens downwards.

Note on the Kurdish termتێبینی دەربارەی زاراوە کوردییەکە

The Kurdistan Region school maths glossary «زاراوە بیرکارییەکان» (rezan2.wordpress.com; it lists the terms of the grade 7–12 maths curriculum) gives vertex = «سەری گۆشە، سەر» for the corner of an angle and vertex form = «شێوەی لوتکەیی» for a parabola, so the turning point of a graph is لووتکە (standard spelling with وو). Kept apart from graph-theory «vertex» (registry node = نۆد) and from the corner of an angle (سەر). Proposed for linguistic review.
