A cloud made of two or more separate clouds (, or ) that stay separate but are joined by technology that lets data and applications move between them, for example to use the public cloud when the private one is full (NIST SP 800-145). In everyday use, a company's own servers together with a public cloud are also called a hybrid cloud.
