No Kurdish equivalent is established: neither the course notes nor the four surveyed Kurdish sources (S1–S4) name lossy compression (Barzinji, S4, only has پەستانەوە for "compress"), and CêIT does not invent a term without review, so Kurdish text shows the English name for now.
