Sorani Wikipedia «فانکشنە سێگۆشەیییەکان» names the six functions with loans: «ساین، کۆساین، تانجێنت، کۆتانجێنت، سێکانت و کۆسێکانت», matching the symbols sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, csc that every formula uses. the Kurdistan Region school maths glossary «زاراوە بیرکارییەکان» (rezan2.wordpress.com; it lists the terms of the grade 7–12 maths curriculum) gives Kurdish names for some of them (sin = تەژێ, cos = تەژێ تەواو, tan = تان, cot = کۆتان, sec = بڕەر), kept as alternatives.
