A free, open source scripting language for making dynamic web pages. PHP code runs on the web server; the visitor's browser receives only the result, usually HTML.

The course notes spell the name پی‌ئێچ‌پی; CêIT keeps the Latin name PHP inside Kurdish text. Sozyar Osman's CS book also keeps PHP in Latin letters.
