Factoring

Writing an expression as a product of simpler factors, for example $x^2-4x+3=(x-1)(x-3)$ . A product is 0 only when one of its factors is 0.

School term (the Kurdistan Region school maths glossary «زاراوە بیرکارییەکان» (rezan2.wordpress.com; it lists the terms of the grade 7–12 maths curriculum): factoring = شیتەڵکردن, factor = کۆلکە). The owner writes «Şîkarkrdnî hawkêşey piledû (Factoring)» (شیکارکردن), but he also uses شیکار for "solve" («Şîkar bike»), and school maths keeps شیکار for solution (کۆمەڵەی شیکار); so شیکارکردن is only an alternative here. Ask the owner (PLAN owner decision 4).
