The reciprocal of a number $a\ne0$ is $\frac{1}{a}$: the number you multiply a by to get 1. For a fraction, turn it upside down: the reciprocal of $\frac{2}{3}$ is $\frac{3}{2}$. Zero has no reciprocal.

Note on the Kurdish termتێبینی دەربارەی زاراوە کوردییەکە

The Kurdistan Region school maths glossary «زاراوە بیرکارییەکان» (rezan2.wordpress.com; it lists the terms of the grade 7–12 maths curriculum) gives reciprocal = «هەڵگەڕاوەی کەرت» (literally 'the turned-over fraction'). Shortened to هەڵگەڕاوە so it also fits whole numbers (the reciprocal of 2 is 1/2); the full school phrase is kept as an alternative, with «پێچەوانەی لێکدان» (multiplicative inverse). Proposed by the calc-order-and-inequalities writer (rules 6–8 of the course's inequality slide are about reciprocals); needs linguistic review.
