A statement that compares two amounts with $<$ , $>$ , $\le$ or $\ge$ instead of $=$ . Its answer is usually a whole range of numbers, not one number.

The owner's word: the owner's own Kurdish solutions «Lasenge (Bîrkarî)» (April 2022, written in Latin-script Kurdish) («Lasengey diraw» = the given inequality), literally "unbalance", the opposite of هاوکێشە (equation). It is also school usage: the Kurdistan Region school maths glossary «زاراوە بیرکارییەکان» (rezan2.wordpress.com; it lists the terms of the grade 7–12 maths curriculum) gives «نایەکسانی، لاسەنگە» and compound inequalities = لاسەنگە ئاوێتەکان, and Sorani Wikipedia «نایەکسانی» opens «نایەکسانی یان لاسەنگە».
