Built from the notes' words جۆر (type) and دراوە (data); جۆری داتا is also common. The Kurdish scientists' dictionary prints جۆری داتا، جۆری دراوە. The definition was made general because Technical English units use data types for spreadsheets and databases too; PHP's list of types is now in the example.
