A named place in that holds a ; the value can change while the program runs. In Python you simply write age = 20; in PHP the name starts with $ ($age = 20;).

شوێنێکی ناونراوە لەناو کە هەڵدەگرێت و دەتوانێت لە کاتی کارکردنی بگۆڕێت. لە Pythonـدا تەنها دەنووسیت age = 20؛ لە PHPـدا ناوەکە بە $ دەست پێ دەکات ($age = 20;).
