The square root $\sqrt{a}$ of a number $a\ge 0$ is the non-negative number whose square is a. So $\sqrt{x^2}=|x|$ , not x.

ڕەگی دووجای ژمارەی $a\ge 0$ ، واتە $\sqrt{a}$ ، ئەو ژمارە نا-سالبەیە کە دووجاکەی دەکاتە a. بۆیە $\sqrt{x^2}=|x|$ ، نەک x.

Exampleنموونە

$\sqrt{25}=5$ (not −5), and $\sqrt{(-3)^2}=3$ .

$\sqrt{25}=5$ (نەک ⁦−5⁩) و $\sqrt{(-3)^2}=3$ .
