What is PowerPoint?PowerPoint چییە؟
Microsoft PowerPoint is a program for making slides. People use it for lessons, meetings and projects: a teacher explains a new topic, a company shows its sales, a student presents a project to the class. This kind of program is called (you met the word in Technical English).
Microsoft PowerPoint بۆ دروستکردنی . خەڵک بۆ وانە، کۆبوونەوە و پڕۆژە بەکاری دەهێنن: مامۆستایەک بابەتێکی نوێ ڕوون دەکاتەوە، کۆمپانیایەک فرۆشەکەی پیشان دەدات، خوێندکارێک پڕۆژەکەی پێشکەشی پۆلەکەی دەکات. بەم جۆرە دەوترێت (ئەم وشەیەت لە ئینگلیزیی تەکنیکی بینیوە).
Three words come back again and again in this course. A is one page. A is the whole file with all its slides. A is when you show the slides one after another on the full screen, for example on a projector in class.

Think of a family photo album. You choose the photos, put them in a good order and show them to your guests, page by page. A presentation works the same way: you prepare the slides at home, put them in order, and then show them one by one in class.

An album page cannot move or make a sound. A slide can: later in the course you will add transitions, animations, video and sound.

By the end you will be able to build a complete presentation on your own: slides, tables, pictures, shapes, charts, links, movement and a safe, saved file. The course takes you there one chapter at a time, in this order:

Each chapter uses what you learned before it. Chapter 1 teaches you the parts of the screen, and every chapter after it tells you where to click by using those names. So start at the beginning and go in order.

A few minutes of setup saves hours later. This is what you need:

- A computer with Windows.
- Microsoft PowerPoint on that computer. Most recent versions work; this course shows PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 on Windows, the version that Microsoft keeps updating.
- About half an hour of quiet time for each chapter.

Three shortcuts to learn todayسێ کورتەڕێی کیبۆرد بۆ ئەمڕۆ
A is two or more keys that you press together to give a command without the mouse. Hold down the first key (for example Ctrl), press the second key, then let go of both.
