Duties. Use the present simple: 'He installs software.' 'She answers calls.' Useful phrases: be responsible for + -ing ('She is responsible for testing new apps'), be in charge of + noun ('He is in charge of the network'), deal with ('I deal with users' questions'), involve + -ing ('The job involves visiting clients').
Ability. Can / can't for the present ('I can configure a router'). Could for general ability in the past ('I could code when I was 15'). Be able to for other tenses and after another modal ('You will be able to work from home'; 'I have never been able to draw'). For one success in the past, use was able to or managed to, not could: 'The server crashed, but we were able to restore the data.'

ئەرکەکان. بۆ وەسفکردنی ئەرکەکانی کارێک بەکاربهێنە، چونکە باسی کاری ڕۆژانە و دووبارەبووەوە دەکەیت: She installs software. لەگەڵ he، she و it کارەکە -s وەردەگرێت. لە کوردیدا کۆتایی کار کەسەکە دیاری دەکات («دادەمەزرێنێت»)، بەڵام لە ئینگلیزیدا ئەم -sـە زۆرجار لە بیر دەچێت.
دەستەواژەکانی بەرپرسیارێتی: be responsible for + -ing (بەرپرسیار بوون لە): She is responsible for testing new apps. دوای for کار شێوەی -ing وەردەگرێت، نەک to. be in charge of + ناو (بەرپرس بوون لە): He is in charge of the network. deal with (مامەڵە کردن لەگەڵ): I deal with users' questions.
توانا. can = دەتوانێت. دوای can کار بێ to و بێ -s دێت: She can install Linux. نەک She can to install یان She can installs. بۆ ڕابردوو could بۆ توانای گشتی: I could code when I was 15. بۆ کاتەکانی تر be able to بەکاربهێنە: You will be able to work from home. | قەدەغەیە | mustn't | You mustn't share your password. — نابێت بە کەس بڵێیت. |
ئاگاداربە: don't have to واتە «پێویست ناکات»، بەڵام mustn't واتە «نابێت، قەدەغەیە». هەروەک چۆن لە کوردیدا «پێویست ناکات» و «نابێت» دوو واتای جیاوازیان هەیە، لە ئینگلیزیشدا وایە.
گۆکردن: must لە ناو ڕستەدا زۆرجار لاواز دەگوترێت /məst/ و لە mustn't /ˈmʌsnt/ پیتی tی یەکەم نابیسترێت. can لە ڕستەی ئەرێدا /kən/ دەگوترێت و can't /kɑːnt/؛ گوێ لە دەنگی بزوێنەکە بگرە.

Going further: the language of the IT workplace
Job-advert register. Adverts use fixed phrases: We are looking for…, The successful candidate will…, Responsibilities include…, You will report to…. Here will describes the duties of the new job, not a prediction.
Strong duty verbs (useful for CVs too): maintain, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, analyse, develop, implement, document, monitor, migrate. Compare 'I did the network' (vague) with 'I configured and monitored the office network' (precise).
Emphasis in interviews. Cleft sentences put the important part in focus: 'What I enjoy most is solving problems.' 'It was during my internship that I discovered security.' Stress the focused words when you speak.
Rewrite these vague duties with strong verbs and details: 'I did the computers in the office. I was on the website. I helped with problems.'
